Feed Flaking Machine (SRD-60-80-100 Models); is an industrial feed preparation machine operating on 380V three-phase power (industrial electricity), designed to process all types of grains and pulses such as barley, wheat, corn, and vetch into flake form, providing a wide range of feed preparation applications from chick feed to cattle and small-ruminant rations.
Working Principle: The machine operates on the principle of compression by high-strength steel cylinders (flaking rolls) driven by a powerful motor:
Solid Steel Flaking Rolls: Instead of hollow pipe-type materials, the system uses a two-roll (or optionally four-roll) cylinder configuration manufactured from heat-treated, grooved, high-strength solid air-hardening steel. Roll diameters are produced as 40, 60, or 100 cm depending on the model.
Precise Thickness Adjustment: The distance between the rolls (roll gap) can be adjusted between 0 cm and 15 cm. This allows the thickness of the processed raw material to be professionally optimized according to the animal species and feeding habits.
High Power and Efficiency: Depending on the required capacity, Gamak or Yılmaz brand motors with power ratings of 11–15 kW and speeds of up to 1,400 rpm are used. The machine is protected by a 16-amp thermal overload switch and provides a high flaking capacity ranging from 700 kg to 4,000 kg per hour.
Conditioning Process: To ensure that the feed exits as a homogeneous flake without breaking apart, it is recommended to moisten the product by adding 6% water 12 hours before the flaking process.
