Light Grain Separator is a precision seed conditioning machine designed to separate lightweight grains from pre-cleaned and size-graded agricultural products such as cereals, pulses, sesame and cumin. It separates weak, insect- or pest-damaged, hollow, moisture-depleted or otherwise damaged lightweight grains according to differences in specific gravity. This significantly improves the purity of the processed batch and the germination rate of seed intended for planting.
Working Principle: The raw material is transported by an elevator to the upper holding hopper and then evenly distributed onto a specially designed separation deck, which forms the core of the machine. The high-frequency vibration applied to the deck is precisely controlled by inverter-based speed controllers. Depending on the product type and flow characteristics, the deck's inclination angles in the left-right and front-back directions can be easily adjusted by the operator via the integrated hydraulic system.
The combination of mechanical vibration and a controlled airflow supplied from beneath the deck causes the products to stratify according to their density on a fluidized bed. Heavy, well-filled quality seeds move in the direction of the deck's inclination, while lightweight grains that are hollow, weak or deformed despite being the same size as the main product remain in the upper layer due to the lifting force of the air. They are then directed to a separate discharge channel and precisely separated from the main product.
