Rotary Screen Machine (Trommel) is a compact, stainless-steel sizing machine designed for recycling plants and solid waste processing lines. It enables materials and solid waste of different sizes to be continuously and efficiently separated into the required size fractions using a cylindrical drum.
Working Principle: Positioned at the beginning of the recycling and sorting line, the machine features an inclined screening drum perforated with holes of custom diameters according to the operator’s requirements. Mixed solid waste or bulk materials arriving from the feed conveyor are transferred into the rotating drum. Due to the drum’s rotational movement and inclined structure, the material advances along the cylinder.
During this process, materials smaller than the hole diameters in the drum pass through the screen under the combined effect of gravity and rotational acceleration, fall into the lower collection section, and are directed to the discharge conveyor. Oversized waste continues to the end of the drum and is transferred to the subsequent stages of the line. Offering maximum mechanical performance with minimum energy consumption, the system is optimized for continuous processing lines with its modular design, which enables easy replacement of spare parts.
