Tube-Type Feed Screw Conveyor is a high-strength, cylindrical screw conveying system designed for the safe transfer, feeding, and dosing of bulk materials in solid, powder, or granular form—such as cement, concrete, food products, and construction chemicals—from silos to mixers or weighing units.
Working Principle: The mechanical drive provided by an IE2 efficiency-class electric motor with a thermistor and a high-torque, low-noise Yılmaz brand gearbox is transmitted to the internal assembly through bearing groups, enabling volumetric conveying:
Fully Enclosed Volumetric Conveying: Bulk raw material entering through the universal-jointed or gate-valve connection flange inlet is conveyed volumetrically through the cylindrical tube as the advanced-technology SRD helical flights, featuring increased wall thickness, rotate. The fully enclosed tube construction completely prevents powder-form materials from escaping into the surrounding environment.
Rigid Bearing Support and High-Performance Sealing: The rotating shaft is fully sealed using high-quality natural-fiber, pre-tensioned aluminum/cast-iron gland packings. To maintain the shaft’s linear stability and long service life, specially designed intermediate bearings with adjustable retaining rings, developed through SRD’s expertise, are used together with flanged head bearings consisting of cast housings and machined shafts.
Resistance to Harsh Conditions and Easy Maintenance: Bolted inspection covers with four-point flexible connections and fully EPDM-coated surfaces, positioned beneath all intermediate bearings and the inlet, can be quickly removed during maintenance and cleaning. The corrosion-resistant sandblasting applied to the body and the anti-static powder coating with a nominal thickness of 80 microns provide reliable operating performance even under the most demanding field conditions, such as concrete batching plants and silo spare-parts applications.
