U-Type Screw Conveyor is a high-strength screw conveying system with an openable body design, developed for the safe feeding, conveying, and precise dosing of bulk materials in solid, powder, or granular form, such as cement, concrete, construction chemicals, flour, feed, and grain, in industrial processes.
Working Principle: The mechanical torque generated by the quiet Yılmaz gearbox unit is transmitted to the internal assembly through shaft bearings and operates on the principle of volumetric conveying:
Volumetric Screw Conveying: As the helical flights (blades) with increased wall thickness rotate inside the body, they volumetrically carry the bulk raw material entering through the universal or rubber-jointed inlet, conveying it continuously and without material loss along the linear route to the mixer, silo, or weighing unit.
High Sealing Performance and Rigid Bearing Support: The rotating shaft is fully sealed using high-quality, pre-tensioned natural-fiber gland packings. To maintain stability over long conveying distances, high mechanical strength is achieved with experience-developed UCF intermediate bearings with adjustable retaining rings and SRD flanged head bearings consisting of cast housings and machined shafts.
Practical Maintenance and Corrosion Protection: The inspection covers positioned beneath all intermediate bearings and the inlet, featuring fully flexible four-point connections, can be easily removed and reinstalled during maintenance and cleaning thanks to their bolted construction. The anti-corrosion, anti-static powder coating applied to the body provides maximum service life even under the most demanding field conditions.
